L O people. I keep getting a great welcome, I’m in the process of retiring. I’m selling off the remains of our stock and the Gumtree keeps showing a couple of my products.
I’ve spent the last 40 years manufacturing wooden products from Leather Chesterfields; Soft cover suites and more recently I had a small factory in Poland where we made Jewellery Boxes Keepsake boxes and Funeral Urns. Most of the machinery goes next week; that’ll be a ‘lump in the throat’ day. But hey ho I’m coming up for 78 and fitter than most men of 50 and although I don’t actually want to stop my guess is that’s what will happen. I have a full range of skills which could be passed on the younger generation but I don’t suppose that will happen either.
I have contacts in Slovakia who want to start something but that’s 1000 miles away. My overall feeling is that of frustration., I hope it wears off.
