She’ll have to be shoved …
I can just see the 1922 Committee sighing heavily once again
“Right then gentlemen, lets change the rules again shall we?”
Rumour has it that, if enough Tory MPs “coalesce”, going to the party members could be bypassed in favour of a “coronation” …
WE want Boris WE want Boris at least he took a lot of time to mess up the country
EU. Here we come again !!
They wouldn’t want us now…we’d ruin their street cred!
Hi
How do you work that out DM?
This has naff all to do with the EU or Brexit… it is just down to utter stupidity by our own Politicians
Prime Minister Liz Truss will hold a press conference at 14:30 BST, Downing Street has confirmed.
It will take place in No 10’s briefing room.
KK’s letter accepting the Order of the Boot:
"When you asked me to serve as your Chancellor, I did so in full knowledge that the situation we faced was incredibly difficult, with rising global interest rates and energy prices. However, your vision of optimism, growth and change was right.
"As I have said many times in the past weeks, following the status quo was simply not an option. For too long this country has been dogged by low growth rates and high taxation - that must still change if this country is to succeed.
"The economic environment has changed rapidly since we set out the Growth Plan on 23 September. In response, together with the Bank of England and excellent officials at the Treasury we have responded to those events, and I commend my officials for their dedication.
"It is important now as we move forward to emphasise your government’s commitment to fiscal discipline. The Medium-Term Fiscal Plan is crucial to this end, and I look forward to supporting you and my successor to achieve that from the backbenches.
"We have been colleagues and friends for many years. In that time, I have seen your dedication and determination. I believe your vision is the right one. It has been an honour to serve as your first Chancellor.
“Your success is this country’s success and I wish you well.”
What a creepy crawler …

Downing Street has just confirmed that Jeremy Hunt will be the new Chancellor of the Exchequer.
During the leadership contest over the summer, Hunt put himself forward to be the next Tory leader but after not gaining enough support from fellow MPs he supported Rishi Sunak’s bid.
He previously served in the Cabinet as Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport from 2010 to 2012, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care from 2012 to 2018, and Foreign Secretary from 2018 to 2019
Is it just me but I cringe every time I see the PM’s name . Was she actually christened so ?
Prime Minister Liz Truss claims it was Kwarteng who chose to resign - describing this as a decision made in the “national interest”. Earlier, Kwarteng signalled he was sacked, saying he was asked to “step aside”. The PM wrote:
“I deeply respect the decision you have taken today. You have put the national interest first.”
She adds: "We share the same vision for our country and the same firm conviction to go for growth.
“I know that you will continue to support the mission that we share to deliver a low tax, high wage, high growth economy.”
They couldn’t get their act together … now they can’t get their stories straight …
Her first name is Mary I think. Mary, mary, quite contrary…!

Prime Minister Liz Truss says she wants to deliver growth.
She says she wants a country where people can get good jobs, arguing the UK has been held back.
“I want to deliver a low tax, high growth economy”, the prime minister adds.
Truss says it’s “clear” that parts of her government’s mini-budget have gone to “further and faster” than expected.
She goes on to say that “we need to act now to reassure the markets of our fiscal discipline”.
Therefore, she says the decision has been made to keep the increase in corporation tax.
This will raise £18bn in taxes for the country, she adds.
The prime minister says Hunt “shares my vision”, and hails his experience as a minister.
Hunt will deliver the medium-term fiscal plan at the end of the month, she says.
"I’m absolutely determined to see through what I promised - to deliver a higher growth, more prosperous United Kingdom to see us though the storm we face.
"We’ve already delivered the energy price guarantee, making sure people aren’t facing huge bills this winter.
“It was right, in the face of issues we had, that I acted decisively to ensure we had economic stability - that is vitally important to people and businesses wright across out country.”
So far, so yada yada …
Truss is still the bot, still programmed to repeat her empty mantra in pursuit of her deluded “vision” …
“What I’ve done today is make sure we have economic stability,” she insists.
Really … how’s that, then …
Isn’t it a bit early for pantomime season? This is way beyond a joke.
Jeremy Hunt the new Chancellor wasn’t he minister for health in the previous cabinet ….look at the mess that’s in .
It doesn’t bode well.
What about Truss , she’s got to go …the hurt she’s caused .
I’d like to see a general election but I can’t see that happening any time soon.
She must go! one way or another she can’t remain in office the woman is poison. There are really no words to express just
how big a disaster she is and every minute she’s in office
can only make things worse.
