It never happens on this Forum, but do you come across many Know Alls?
If you do, are they the type who, really, don’t know much at all but like to think they do?
Or are they ones who would stay up all night, studying hard, so that they can win the argument, the next day, even though the arguers have long run off?

You had to try to wording everything you said to her so it didn’t give her an opportunity to get started
She was on several pub quiz teams, and a champ of course 
The trouble is the older you are the more useless information you have stored up

I used to know a woman who thought she knew everything and that she was always right. I used to just think ok if you say so. She right got on my pips. She would argue the toss just to prove herself right even if she was wrong sometimes.

I know people who know a lot of stuff but most of them are willing to listen and learn, which is how they got to know a lot of stuff.
If you mean “know alls” who only think they know it all but don’t and will never listen to anybody else’s advice or opinion, then I don’t know very many of them now. I am able to avoid them since I retired and can choose my own company.
I used to meet them in the course of my work quite often, though - sometimes work colleagues but mostly clients, so I had to smile politely and massage their ego a little bit now and then, while my private thoughts about them were less than complimentary.
