Hello all - a friend gave me the link to this forum so I thought I would join and see what it is like. I don’t really need to be on any more internet sites - I am just nosy, I suppose!
I use Facebook and Twitter daily and am on four forums for the over 50s (It was SagaZone that got me into all this).
However, I only post regularly on Facebook and one other forum as I have a life in the real world, thankfully. I must say that I have made some wonderful friends on the internet who have since become regular social companions for meets, so the two elements intermingle nicely!
I am into statistics and notice that although there are over 1500 members on here, only 150 of these have made over 100 posts. I find this most other sites - I think we all spread ourselves thinly over a number of places.
I look forward to exploring more on here

Hello Liz a very warm welcome to the forum - I hope you will enjoy your time here with us…
Welcome Libera! I don’t do other social networking sites, but come on here now and then. Hope you enjoy it here.
Hello Liz, and a very warm welcome to you.
Thank you for the welcome - I like what I have seen so far
One thing that I have noticed is the small number of members on line compared with the pages of guests. I suppose they just read or ‘lurk’ without wanting to join in! If the site is that public, I had better mind my Ps and Qs, lol!
Hi Libera and welcome to the forum. I must admit I’m one of the ones who doesn’t post very often.
Hello Liz welcome, I look forward to chatting with you…
Good afternoon and welcome from me too.
Hi![w]12[/w]
Good evening Liz darlin’ and welcome neighbour!!!
Hi Liz and welcome from me too;-). I see that you include dancing in your interests - what kind ? I do sequence and love it
Hello Myrtle - I do ballet and tap weekly at a class in my local dance school. I used to enjoy ballroom when I had someone to go with but prefer more energetic forms now, just to keep my fitness levels up!
Hello Joe - Brighton is quite a journey for me - about 3 hours by train as I have to change at Ashford International to get the little slow “chugalong” train along the coast via Hastings and Eastbourne. I visit friends there occasionally - lovely place.
Wow! Ballet and tap are tough disciplines - I take my 6 year old grandaughter to her class every week and sit and watch - ballet fantastic for agility and muscle strength. I tried tap in my 30’s but wasn’t much good - flick-ball-change very useful for jives, etc
I went to a stage school for several years in my youth as I wanted to teach dancing. I did most forms - ballet, national, modern, jazz, choreography. Then I found it was too much with A levels at school as well so gave up that career. I still like to keep my hand in (or should I say feet?!).
Well … I’m suitably impressed. Wish you lived locally then I could persuade you into modern sequence - I could do with a good partner (I dance man or lady so no problem). I’ve already got a man and a lady who I dance with on different days of the week but could do with a “reserve”
Liz darlin’ - let me know when you’re in this neck of the woods again and we’ll meet up and I’ll buy you a drink or something.
Hi Liz,
Welcome to our forum, we are all very friendly lovely people on here. Susie xx

Hiya … settling in ?
Hi all - thanks again for all your lovely welcomes.
I am finding my way around although I don’t have too much time to spend on line.
