Today is the last of our Summer Bank Holidays. It is all down hill now to CHRISTMAS !

Too late , Christmas has already been mentioned.
Apparently there’s going to be a shortage of goodies in the shops due to a shortage of drivers … so get buying and stockpiling now.

This summer has flown past too fast
usually by mid September the Christmas goodies start to arrive on the supermarket shelves,
The Works (a craft/stationery shop) has already got its Christmas stuff in…and its next to the halloween shelves. 
The poundshop is the same…

I have had a wonderful summer break this year
The most normal holiday since Christmas 2019!
I’m back to school on Wednesday
It always feels like a long slog until half term and then again til Christmas so no Christmas is AGES away… believe me!!
I do love Autumn though
And I love the cosiness of Winter months so I’m fine with the changing seasons. It’s the getting up at 7.30 five days a week that I object to!

being retired for a good few years every day is a holiday so if bank holidays were scrapped i for one would not care
We really need a public holiday in late October/early November to beak up such a long spell without one, don’t we?
