Today was the NSW local council elections, elections in Australia are always held on a Saturday. The on line iVote crashed this morning at 8.30 and was only restored at 10.30am.
I have used iVote some years ago but I forget which election. I voted a week ago in the pre-vote polling station (less queuing).
Because of Covid there were no "How to Vote " cards being handed out and no democracy sausages, every voter in the Wollongong Council area was given their own pen (usually the booth has a pencil attached with a bit of string).
BTW it will be interesting to see whether Bradbury (incumbent) or the Labor candidate becomes Lord Mayor
