Sure feels like it - a week in here already and nothing ahead but mysery and pain.
Itās a new day, the lights are on- still nurses with quarantine masks. If Iāve got flu I donāt feel it yet.
They are meant to be coming up with some flu killing compound which they are ordering for about 10am; then Iāll wear my mask again to go to radiotherapy at 2:30 but not allowed out until then - thank God Iāve got some me vape left I can use in the toilet - it doesnāt smell of anything.
Strange times.
Flu now, OMG poor you.
Hang in there Dreamy, we are all here for you.
No flu compound but did have a nice steak pie for dinner - this bay is still on full viral lockdown but Iāll get out to my radiotherapy for 2 pm.
Or later.
I am still here Dreamy.
At least you are eating.
I also answered your post at the bar.
Thanks Sweetie, Iāll be the last patient in radiotherapy today to reduce the chance of others before me catching the infection ( if I have it) This now means around 4:30.
Itās a long day in hospital - waiting around incarcerated in quarantine in a room with 2 others, I do a wonder about the cards thread, perhaps you and Mort could keep that going; Iām unable to do that from here.
Sitting on a wheelchair with a mask on a corridor awaiting my second radiography treatment; not nervous, just miffed at the past days confinement.
Quick today, they know precisely where to x-ray from the images taken yesterday. Now the slower wait for a porter.
OK, Dreamy this thread keeps vanishing.
I will catch you at the bar.
All done, back on the ward, but still confined and had to wear the mask like Michael Jackson all the way back.
Still, 2 out of 5 radiographiess down, 3 to go. Iām told that Iāll feel increasingly fatigued as time goes on, but nothing like the chemo I had 18 months ago.
I am praying it helps.
I also hope you can start to get some sleep.
In flu free although I was exposed to it for 12 hours and now have medication for it I must take (the same type of preventative meds that the nurses get. Itās all a bit mysterious and crypticall to me: what I know is that I donāt have any flu but was compromised, unsure as of yet whether I can leave the room yet.
Oh, what a drama for you.
I am getting confused just reading it, let alone poor you.
So im flu free but have been exposed to 2 men with it, thus I get a private room tonight lest I expose anyone to it (unlikely). Will report back later, it is a tad confusing, I do get what the nurses routinely get for flu suppression.
Just find it confusing with my new radiotherapy sessions, too.
We have a friend who is going into Edinburgh hospital tomorrow for radio therapy. He will be allowed home for the weekend but must go back into hospital on Monday. You never know Ffosse he may even be put in the same ward as you.
In the meantime I wish you well and hope your treatment is a success and you will be rewarded with a clean bill of health.
Very best wishes to you.
So Iāll get my own room with telly but miss my new friend - still we have each otherās numbers and I have thousands of minutes on my phone. I think Iāve forgotten about making fast friends beforeā¦i get on with everyone.
Yes, see you are doing OK.
Lovely post from clumsy:lol:
Yes, thanks Clumsy.
