I’m getting surgery sometime today. Had a Nil By Mouth sign since 12. Unfortunately, could mean 22:30 tonight
Mixed feelings and a fair bit of apprehension and anger - the biopsy caused the mass in my shoulder and neck.
Supposedly they are the best neurosurgeons in the world but that didn’t really console me at this time.
Still waiting - feel like might faint from hunger and thirst.

So I’m 2nd in the queue for Sun/Monday. I’ve been nil by mouth for far too long… No sleep, water or food, I feel exhausted and unable to deal with people.
It’s just more endless waiting. I wonder what the world record is for not eating, sleeping or drinking water?
So if the op is Tomorrow why are you nil by mouth today?

Well you should be allowed to sip some water every so often. Please speak to your nurse!
I was allowed half a small cup last night and half a small cup today so far.
I’m relieved that they have allowed you that. You should be allowed a small cup to sip slowly every few hours.

I won’t be posting as much until I can get a mobile phone top-up, I have the money but 3 seems to thwart everything I do to buy one.
They sell them in convenience stores so I’ll have to have someone buy me one there.

Feeling better today although the dressing on my the back of my head is massive. Hoping to get a 2 hour visitors pass for a visit home to pick up some things.
There’s some doubt over whether I’ll get chemo or not tomorrow as I’m still taking intravenous antibiotics.
