ITV - Boris Johnson pictured drinking at Downing Street party during lockdown - Photos

This is no time to “suck it up”, our lives and country’s future are at stake

I don’t think we should risk our lives and our future by letting a lying corrupt man lead us through the difficult times ahead

And when he does the next irresponsible thing, especially in a time of war and economic crisis, the consequences will be disastrous

And he’ll be responsible, of course.

But equally responsible will be the members of his party who don’t have the integrity to throw him out

And the people who are defending him, still

And the people prepared still to vote Tory with him as leader

And the people throwing out spurious comparisons with Starmer to try to get him off the hook

And the people prepared to “suck it up” and tolerate his behaviour

And they’ll all have a lot to answer for

The biggest threat to the world right now is socialism

I can’t think of any other “conservative” government in the world right now than what we have here in the UK

Frightening!

November mid terms in the USA … we need you

Hi

Beware the little people.

They will get you.

Treat them like scum and they have nothing to lose.

Looks like even viewers of ITV are fed up with Madeley:

Richard and Susanna interviewed the Transport Secretary today, and discussed the new photo of Boris Johnson at an event, where he can be seen holding up a glass with bottles of alcohol on a nearby table.

Whilst Mr Shapps tried to defend Mr Johnson’s attendance at the “gathering”, Richard’s comment angered fans.

During the interview, Richard looked towards his iPad before saying: “Reading what our viewers think on Twitter, quite a large proportion of our viewers say they don’t care about Partygate anymore. The bubble of anger burst some weeks ago and reading the room, you can probably tough this out - is that a fair assessment?”

However, his co-host Susanna quickly added: “They’re not the messages I’m reading, sorry Richard.”

“No they’re mixed, but there are quite a few messages from people saying they don’t care,” he added, defending his comment.

However, it didn’t sit well with viewers and after the comment, fans flooded social media to criticise Richard for what he said.

One wrote: " @richardm56 being exposed by @susannareid100 for being disingenuous about people not caring about the PM breaking lockdown laws. Madeley pushing misinformation. You can easily check the twitter feed of #GMB and it shows people in the large majority are angry," as a second added: “Richard Madeley cannot resist, Demonstrating his biased in Favo ur of the government.”

A third angry viewer penned on Twitter: "I’m incandescent with rage that @richardmadeley1 undermined @susannareid100 's excellent probing of @grantshapps by saying ‘reading the room people don’t care about party gate anymore’.

“What planet are you on Richard?! Alan Partridge personified. Leave interviews to susanna. #GMB.”

“Richard Madeley (talking to Grant Shapps ) claims the majority of messages #GMB is receiving from the public say they are tired of hearing about partygate Well done to Susanna Reid who immediately contradicts him,” a fourth wrote.

Another viewer called for the show to get rid of Richard over his comment, writing on Twitter as they fumed over his comment: “Get rid of Madeley he’s an embarrassment as a presenter. #GMB.”

Blimey … that’s been well-hidden - how many more?

The new photograph shows a No 10 official setting out bottles of prosecco, champagne and wine on a table with Krispy Kreme donuts and other sweet snacks.

It was sent round Downing Street aides at on a WhatsApp group in response to a message from a senior aide who wrote at 6.45pm: “Time to open the Covid secure bar”.

Minutes later the picture was posted on the group with the message: “The bar is open”.

Earlier in the afternoon, No 10 officials exchanged messages which appeared to show that the event was planned in advance.

Hi

No 10 has many cleaners, Minimum Wage Staff, who are fed up and very annoyed with their wage rise and being treated like muck by the current administration.

They need the money to live, so of course they will spill the beans that is on offer for provable details.

What they do not have is photos of parties in progress, they would not be allowed anywhere near, their job is to clean up afterwards.

The photos are coming from high level people and the Whats App leaks are from Politicians.

Brutus is alive and well and stabbing Boris in the back.

Did you actually read my post. I was showing a balance, in the same way I highlighted that on LBC radio Iain Dale did a call in where people could either call in regarding the pics or they could call in regarding the cost of living crisis and he didn’t receive any calls regarding the pics. Yes, there are some people who are interested in partygate, but there are also people who think that discussing that topic has been done to death and it’s now time to move on. You’re obviously obsessed with it, but I’m bored with it and am more worried about the economy than I am whether either Boris or Starmer broke the lockdown rules along with millions of people up and down the country.

So, are you starting a thread about your interest (the economy) or would you prefer that do it for you (again)?

You’re not allowed to start threads on other peoples behalf, its against the forum rules.

Just sayin’ like :lollipop:

I didn’t say I wanted to discuss it, I said I was more worried about that than I am whether Boris and Starmer broke lockdown rules.

And I also showed that Madely was giving a balanced account and not pandering to the witch hunters.

“This is quite a significant amount of messages we’ve had on this programme this morning. We’ve had a lot of people criticising Boris Johnson saying he has to go.

“But let me read out two because these are typical of the other side of the coin.

Richard decided to look at the Twitter comments from viewers and said to Shapps: "Reading what our viewers think on Twitter, quite a large proportion of our viewers say they don’t care about Partygate anymore.

Susanna quickly added: “They’re not the messages I’m reading, sorry Richard.”

Probably because people have turned off from watching that programme due to the amount of time spent on discussing partygate in the same way as I don’t watch Sky News during the day anymore. I listen to GB News as it has more variety.

Well in my opinion Dorris and this god-awful government must go to bring an end to this never ending train smash they have created.

Bread I bet all of the reporters were at it and even some attended the gatherings at No.10.

It does really make me cringe when Kay Burley and Beth Rigby question Boris as they were the two who got suspended for going to a fortieth birthday party. How they can talk to him the way they do when they did what they did at least he was with people he was with every day in a work environment.

Also the way that all reporters were huddled together when they were questioning people out and about and sticking a microphone in people’s faces, I wouldn’t want one of those germy things stuck in my face. Remember the scenes outside Dominic Cummings house, there definitely wasn’t any social distancing going on there.

And Robert Peston was shown in a press conference when face masks were supposed to be being worn without a mask on, but as soon as the camera went to him for his turn to talk he put his mask on.

The lot of them are hypocrites and that’s why I can’t get worked up about what went on in Downing Street because the hypocrisy winds me up more.

If when Boris was in hospital he had visitors or when he got married he broke the rules then yes, that would wind me up, but what they’ve done is no different to what other’s did.

Exactly right, Wendy.

I remember the lack of social distancing on London Bridge as well when the emergencies services and the public were all clapping the NHS.

Sky is the channel for hypocrites. I regularly have a pop at Rigby and Burley on Twitter as do thousands of others, they never lost their job all they got was paid leave, courtesy of the people paying their extortionate subscription fees. Thankfully GB News is roasting them in the ratings thanks to the likes of Wooton, Farage, Steyn and Dolan.

Bread, yup people have short memories and as I’ve said before the majority of the population were breaking the rules on VE day.

I don’t don’t listen to GB News when those presenters are on lol I enjoy Colin Brazier between 4-6 he’s an ex Sky News reporter, I then switch to LBC.

I also enjoy Gloria De Piero as she’s balanced. But as I’ve said before Nana Akua is my favourite.

I see the usual hacks are asking silly questions again at the press conference. Rigby the biggest of them all, after being caught red handed travelling the country with her Sky News mates getting pissed and breaking just about every rule in the book, and at the same time lecturing people on how they should be behaving.

Sky News … no wonder its failing
