What many of us have been saying for the past two years has now been confirmed by the UN:
A United Nations commission of inquiry says Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
A new report says there are reasonable grounds to conclude that four of the five genocidal acts defined under international law have been carried out since the start of the war with Hamas in 2023: killing members of a group, causing them serious bodily and mental harm, deliberately inflicting conditions calculated to destroy the group, and preventing births.
It cites statements by Israeli leaders, and the pattern of conduct by Israeli forces, as evidence of genocidal intent.

Who are all complicit in the genocide ,for them the UN doesn’t exist. I think not.
The commission specifically calls on Israel to stop its actions and allow international agencies to operate freely in Gaza.
But there is little chance of the Israeli government heeding this report.
It has previously denigrated the HRC, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling it “an antisemitic, rotten, terrorist-supporting, and irrelevant body”.
Israel has already rejected this finding, as it has denied all previous findings of genocide from human rights groups.
It remains to be seen whether other states, such as Australia, will act.
