It sounds likely that we will be asked to stock up on food

Well you have to stock rotate as long as the shops are stocked.

My plan would to be, stock the cupboards with long life stuff and have a different dial in every evening, when the delivery guy don’t show up, make a start on the long life stuff!

I reckon it’s all Bollix anyway Spitty, what a better way to get the economy working than get everyone to spend their savings on extra food…Burnham’s a genius!

Not so Foxy! There’s nothing wrong with keeping some supplies in store. Forget Andy Burnham or conspiracy theories about this or any other government. Surely it’s common sense to have some food, bottled water, batteries, led lights etc at hand?

Oops!

Using the bathroom or having a cry is about to become more expensive for North Americans as the US and Canada enter a full-fledged trade war that threatens to flush away decades of peaceful trading between the two nations.

Hi

At long last, a topic I know something about.

The Conspiracy Theories about helping out supermarkets are all wrong.

Your Government has a Plan, in fact it has several plans.

We have a Prepare Campaign, easily found by searching for prepare campaign uk on Google.

It is prepared and run by professional civil servants, descendants of those who wrote and publish the Protect & Survive Leaflet in 1980, which was one of the biggest farces you have ever seen.

The logic of the new campaign is that any war wil lbe preceded by a series of cyber attacks on our water , electricity supplies, supermarkets and closing down cash points etc.

You may have noticed that things have been going wrong recently here in the UK, supermarkets running out of food, large numbers of homes being left without water for several days, problems with cashpoints and telephone banking etc, etc.

Russia has strongly denied any involvement in these mysterious attacks.

They have however publicly warned us that we may by the subject of serious cyberattacks by unknown persons as a result of the drone and missile systems we are supplying to Ukraine.

As OGF said, we have been poking the Bear with a stick due to the war in the Ukraine and that stick has been recently sharpened by the UK supplying the Ukraine with some very effective technology used in high end long range attacks.

As recently as last month, 20th July a russian warship with nuclear capable land attack cruise missiles carried out a live fire exercise in International Waters off Portsmouth.

Said missiles would reach London in less than 10 minutes, with an accuracy of within 10 metres, each one would be over 3 times as powerful as the one used on Hiroshima.

The ship did not fire these, the live fire was deck guns.

The Russians publicly announced that this was not a warning to the UK about the Ukraine.

The advice from the UK Government to get 3 days of tinned food which you can eat cold is based on the belief that this would stop rioting.

I kid you not.

Party in Hammersmith it is then! :skull_and_crossbones::radioactive:

I have 5000 litres of rainwater stored in my back garden that I could drink if necessary (after boiling), I always have packets of instant noodles and tins of baked beans in the cupboard. The later well past their “best before” date but as long as the can isn’t swollen I don’t care.

Then there are my two generators and about 20/25 litres of fuel plus my camping stoves.

Could probably last a week or two without going to the shop.

Which reminds me I need to get some eggs…

Do people keep chickens in your part of the world or is it too hot? Perhaps it’s time to go back to digging your own well and having a cow and chickens in the garden.
