Well Maccy’s is out of the question, they are no good after a quarter of an hour.
I’ll admit, I’m a bit baffled. I sort off understand the good sense of it but it seems doomed to create panic buying.
It seems …
The reports come on the back of the European Union warning its citizens to [stockpile 72 hours’ worth of food in the event of war.
Okay … for starters, will my GP be prepared to write some extra prescriptions so I can stockpile my medication.
But if we’re only talking 72 hours … most folk probably have reserves for that long anyway.
If this is a Burnham Brainwave I’m starting to get anxious.
We just a got a huge load of groceries this afternoon so we are stocked up on food and wine. Not because Foxy suggested it - it’s because we have our lovely friends from Georgia (where my wife is from).
that reminds me of a little ditty.
Te Lord be praised
My belly raised
An inch above the table
And I’ll be damned
If I ain’t crammed
AS full as I am able
There’s a big difference between panic buying and making sensible and considered provision. Admittedly my own back up supplies need some attention, something I must attend to !
Just don’t be tempted to start “Panic Eating”!
Can’t promise Spitty! ![]()
Of course Chilli, Just chew over the concept.
Could this guy have a point?
Its no good, stocking up on fresh cream cakes!
You shouldn’t be eating them Spitty!! ![]()
I’m Naughty but Nice ![]()
Google it ![]()
I’m well stocked up on tinned prunes,so I should be more regular on here than I have been recently. ![]()
So it looks unlikely our government will be telling us to stock up then?
Apparently if you have a garden, you can dig a well on your property without too much cost or trouble. Of course if all your neighbours dig one too you’re in trouble.
The idea is to stock up on foods you can eat without heating them up.
Please don’t tell me there’s going to be a shortage of toilet paper again!
I’m only just recovering from the last fiasco…
That shortage was due to people not using both sides of the toilet paper
