The world’s first heart transplant was done in South Africa by Dr Christiaan Barnard on a Lithunian Jewish immigrant, Louis Washkansky.

Just back from the weekly Tesco shop and catching five minutes on here whilst contemplating the day. Not much on the agenda although I can always find a job in the garden if I get desperate, although something usually turns up to pique my interest.

I have been searching for the ‘Good Morning’ thread too - guess this is it!
I am in a bit of pain this morning from my trochanteric bursitis.
I forgot to change my weekly opioid pain patch on Saturday & now I’m really feeling the pain. I’m going to put a new patch on right now & have a restful day - should be much better by tomorrow. I’ve rung the leisure centre to cancel my fitness class.
I plan on having a cook & paint day instead.
The fence needs another coat of paint & I want to make a big batch of ministrone soup. A few Anadin extra should help me get going.

Good morning! I was up early and got so much stuff done before 9am that I’m quite pleased with myself. Don’t know what else I shall be up to today, but I’m sure it will be fun. Have a lovely day everybody!
It was a warm winters day, got up to the mid 20’s but this evening it started to rain (something we desperately need) but tomorrow is going to be cold.
Had a good walk today but less likely tomorrow.
