I found 3 lottery tickets lying around my place and threw them in the bin because I had already checked them. Losers.
A little voice said to me, “No harm in double checking”
Took them to the Lottery window for checking.
One of them had won $34.30.
Pays to check.
Has something similar happened to you?
No, the system is skewed, it’s trying to keep me working and poor
No,not me, they always send me an email if I win. I pay my “ignorant of maths” tax about once a fortnight on line so there is no ticket to throw away.
I always double check, and ask the people at the supermarket to check too.
Mrs d00d buys lotter tickets, keeps switching lotteries, keeps switching the numbers. I tell her she’s more likely to win if she does the same numbers in the same lottery every time. She won’t have it.
life’s lottery is always a winner
I no longer play the national lotto, never won anything but a free lucky dip, besides it’s been in the News several times lately that people are having a lot of bother with the company that took over from Camalot, seems they don’t always want to give out the money folks have won. Put me right off, been looking at other ones like the guide dogs lotto.
The point about Lotteries is that if you don’t buy a ticket your changes of winning the major prize are only slightly less than someone who does buy a ticket
For example the chance of winning a first division prize in Lotto are 1 in 8 million, whereas the chance of being struck by lightning are 4 in a million or being in a plane crash are 1 in 1.2million
It gives people hope, gives them a reason to dream and something to dream about.
Some are greedy. I think I’d be as chuffed winning £1M knowing 99 others have also won £1M as I would be winning £100M.
