I was a student in Cardiff then(up in Cyncoed).
I think the floods occurred during the Christmas break.

Yes.Theoretically there shouldn’t be floods like that any more now with the barrage.

You can’t stop the water thundering down from the valleys but the barrage and other flood defences means it’s the park that gets flooded and not residential areas.
Even Roath Park lake overflowed yesterday

Gosh Furryanimal, we have walked down that slope onto the ferry to Cardiff Bay many times when we visited Cardiff. :open_mouth:

So do I …walking through it to the cricket.
Sometimes go down the Bay just to get the boat back up.

Pfft! Not a shadow of it’s former self.Nothing but coffee shops and ice cream lickers these days.It used to be a busy working docks with pubs and streets full of people from all over the world and every one knew it as Tiger Bay.
