Is this Australia's Cutest Critter?

They do the same over here. Concrete it over for parking their surplus of cars.
When I was a kid one of my neighbours in my street used to do the most wonderful topiary creating sailing ships out of his hedges… with the odd owl sitting on the end.

That is a shame and again their property but in my case I prefer grass , plants and yes the snakes which visit .

Snakes are harmless granted there aren’t any pythons or venomous in my area ( not hat I know of ) we have lots of garter snakes , water snakes , corn snakes and sadly 2 of my favorites ring neck snakes and rarely seen but lovely scarlet kingsnake but Green Ameiva or Giant Ameiva (Ameiva ameiva which are a tegu think from Central America are established here and they have decimated small snakes

However I LOVE the non natives because in the end it is the development non the non natives which is the true killer of native fauna .

One of the biggest threats to our local wild life is the domestic cat. We’ve been trying to get the council to introduce stronger laws to control them.

I used to watch Steve Irwin and he would often say that but before him there was another Australian wild life show that sadly I do not recall his name but either way one show he went out hunting feral cats , granted going back some years as now no way any network would allow that .
