Thanks, Mups, will give it a try.
Will have to hang fire for a week, or two, as funeral coming up soon.
It might take 6 months, or even longer, to find a dog you like Ted, but no harm in looking once a week or so.

I’m watching this thread, good luck Ted, I hope you rescue a dog and have a relationship with the dog as good as Besoeker and Max, I always love hearing Bes’s Max tales, hopefully I can look forward to some stories from you too with your rescue.

Yes, I also wish Ted good luck with his mission. We got lucky with our rescue centre - we went there looking for a Collie and warden had just brought him a few days earlier. The rest is history as they say.

Actually, most of our floors are smooth but he is quite content to lie on the landing when we are in bed.
