Would love to have a go at some of the tasks, Plank walking and parachuting out of a helicopter, just because I am older doesn’t mean that I don’t love an adrenaline buzz. Didn’t someone once say…Do something that frightens you every day? I suppose arguing with Mrs Fox will have to do for now…:-p
I suspect you’re right OGF.
I read that Ola “has insecurities” about her body. She danced for years, has a beautiful, lithe body that some would give their right arm for. Why are some people so competitive, why can’t they ever be content and proud of what they have got.
Yes Mups, that has always puzzled me. If I had the money I wouldn’t change a thing about my body…But I’d certainly change it’s location on a regular basis…
Have just had a look at the photo of CV in the link posted by Clumsy - she looks like she’s been smacked in the face with a frying pan. Overdone the Botox methinks.
I hope her passport photo is a recent one or else no one will believe it’s the same person who appeared on countdown.
:-D:-D:-D:-D
My husband thought she had been abducted by Aliens and one had returned in her place. I think she has gone a tad too far, such a shame really.
Enjoyed the first programme, lets hope it continues.
The programme afterwards Extra Camp was disappointing.
I loved last nights show and Carol looked amazing in that swimsuit. But once again the after show was disappointing.
What??? No comments about Carol talking to the toad on her own in the middle of the night
They all seem to be getting on very well don’t they? The four that did the challenge did well too. I was surprised Ola is so focused. She was focused while doing the ‘plank’ too. Hidden depths that one
Women (in particular) who work in tv are basically dumped for a newer model if they’re deemed “past it”
I can’t think of many who continue past their 50s
Things are changing slowly but not fast enough for smart, intelligent women to keep their jobs based on merit alone. Perhaps the older male hierarchy in BBC and others need addressing first.
Clare Balding is one of the only exceptions I can think of at the minute.
All female newscasters have had the forehead frown botox-frozen at least and some of them are in their thirties!
While the inequality continues I say “good on ya” to Carol Vordeman and her ilk.
If she needs reasonable, cosmetic help to continue working as she should them why not. She looks fantastic to me.
A real ambassador for us overly curvaceous too. I like that about her.
I can see what you are saying Rhian, it must be difficult for TV and film personalities when they start to age and no one will take them on. The problem is that after the surgery they actually look worse than they did before.
Well, there’s Fiona Bruce …
Now you are talking Omah…
Mind you, judging by the avatar’s there are some corkers on this forum and I doubt whether they have had any work done…I love them all anyway…
I have had a bit of work done…I spent 5 mins putting mascara and lipstick on this morning… just to look nice for the lovely men on here.
Id just like to say I knew me before I was famous, but cannot stop to natter as I have this time machine I
m working on.
Extended show tonight… unfortunately it clashes with Missing so will watch that first Hey Omah! ello:-)
And I’m sure they appreciate it Twink.
I combed me hair, does that count?
I hate to rain on your parade Omah but Fiona Bruce has botox
That’s surprising, as I’ve read that she’s against it:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/9549039/Fiona-Bruce-why-I-cant-let-myself-go-grey.html
Bruce said she drew the line at Botox or a facelift in order to prolong her career on screen.
She told Reader’s Digest magazine: “I wouldn’t consider cosmetic surgery. My husband [Nigel Sharrocks] would never forgive me. When the person you love feels that way, it’s a bit of a non-starter.”
Hi …
I’ll be watching it later, too …
Perfectly permissible Twink, even great works of art look better in a decent frame…
