The opposition Labour Party has said it would adopt the reforms if it takes power after elections expected to be held next year. Do not hold your breath.
None of the problems tax payers face will ever be resolved because of corruption.

NSW requires political donations of $1000 (£500) or more to be disclosed but in the Federal sphere it is $14,500 (£7250 - it’s indexed to inflation)
There is a good argument to ban political donations altogether and fund election expenses from the public purse abet at a much lower rate than the party’s spend now.
