My boss is leaving on Thursday and I have been delegated to be the gift shopper for her and I have no idea what to buy her.
She’s not really into anything and she’s very difficult to buy for so I thought I’d ask here for ideas if you don’t mind.
She doesn’t really like flowers either.
I think we may have around £50.
Help!
How about some vouchers? Like Lush or something? They do gift baskets too.
Try the Ann summers catalogue … if you want to cause embarrassment and raise a laugh.
I find it hard to say without knowing the person’s tastes, or even how old she is.
How about just taking her out for a nice lunch on her leaving day, and a bottle of something to take home?
Perhaps a beautiful classic silk scarf?
A set of Hand towels with her name embroidered on
A leather bound black journal with her name or initials embossed in gold.
I always think it’s nice to get a card, then a couple of small things, like nice chocolates and a plant perhaps, if she doesn’t like flowers, or gift box of toiletries, if you can get some with a “relax” theme it’s fun or scented candles
Then give her the rest in vouchers so she can choose something she likes, I think John Lewis vouchers are good if you’ve got one close for her to spend them in
Why not get her a Heritage or Ancestry DNA kit…I think you can get them for about £40 so that leaves you £10 for flowers or chocolates. I did my kit about a year ago and I still get regular updates on people I’m related to all over the world its really interesting…the gift that keeps giving 
If she has a garden how about gardening tokens or something for the garden
Or maybe a voucher for her favourite pub or restaurant.
What about a John Lewis token she can please herself then .
Finding the right present for anyone can be a nightmare, especially birthdays and Christmas. But when the ideas run out, an Amazon voucher comes in handy.
does she like the Theatre or Cinema ? You can buy gift Cards .
Perhaps ask what shes planning on doing when she leaves ? might steer you in the right direction .
