Now that we all know the extent of the damage done by Robodebt, the time might be right to enact the Involuntary Manslaughter Act.
Actions taken by the Civil Service, on behalf of the Government of the day, led to several people ending their lives through the stress of trying to deal with a knowing illegal policy.
The ACCC stated No further action will be taken.
Is there anyone in the legal profession that might take up the cause?

I’m gobsmacked. It’s the first I’ve heard of it. 470,000 people wrongly-issued debts to have to pay back!
It sounds as bad, if not worse than the Post Office scandal over in the UK.

People on the dole are always a good target for pollies, they are a convenient minority living off the public purse.
The government was told before it started that the robodebt scheme was illegal but after their success with “people overboard” and “stop the boats” a little illegality wasn’t going to stop them.

This is such a sad time in Australia.
It is in fact the largest fraud and largest scandal in Australia’s history.
The Prime Minister who instigated and oversaw Robodebt, Scott Morrison, has been lionised by his new employers - American Global Strategies and US Venture Capital investors, DYNE Maritime.
In their praise, neither mentioned his role in the scandal that led to young Australians committing suicide because of illegal debt notices.
The Australian National Anti-Corruption Commission stated it will be taking no further action.
