I recommend the film adaptation of Umberto Eco's novel - The Name of the Rose

The Name of the Rose is the 1980 debut novel by Italian author Umberto Eco.
It is a historical murder mystery set in an Italian monastery in the year 1327, and an intellectual mystery combining semiotics in fiction, biblical analysis, medieval studies, and literary theory.
I never read the book, but the 8 part series was one of those that had me engrossed.
Each episode is 50 minutes
Have a look for it, I got the DVDs from my local library.
Streaming on Apple, Prime, Fetch…

If it’s as good as the film with Sean Connery, then it’s a smash hit @Bretrick.
I’ll take a look at it.
I have the book at home, it belonged to my husband, it’s in Italian. I tried reading it once but had to leave it because Umberto’s typical elaborate language was difficult for me to follow, maybe the English version would be easier for me to read.

Might give it a watch anyway. Cheers @Bretrick
