I noticed Microsoft Rewards Points just now

Wow, I have 200 points in a little over 2 months. :slightly_smiling_face:
These are awarded for using the Bing search engine.
I will be eligible for a $5 Microsoft or X-Box gift card when I reach 3000 points. 🫨
I find Bing rather pathetic if truth be told.
I once entered a query, using Australia in the query. I got everything but not once did anything concerning Australia show up.
I use Google search engine as often as possible.

I think Google is the best search engine BUT I try not to use it. I really object to them trying to disguise ads/sponsored products as legitimate results.

Personally I have DuckDuckGo as my default search engine, They too are funded by ads but they don’t try t disguise the fact and sponsors are clearly labelled. One thing they do less well than Google is to use geolocation to preference results from your area however adding :au at the end of the request usually sorts this one.

Bing sometimes crops up as the search engine when I am looking for things on M$ sites but as you say it is an inferior search engine to others. I often wonder what happened to search engines like Alta Vista (sp?) and that terrible one called β€œAsk” that acted like a virus and was very difficult t get rid of.
