I don’t miss the taller one at all. He was the least funny out of the two of them and besides, Holly is much more attractive and is probably sober.
Didn’t John do well, I do like that man.
Not much of a trial TBH. Just dive in some water and pick up stars sitting there freely.
No creatures in there remotely scary or difficult to deal with. Crocodile quite obviously had its mouth tied up. Poor trial compared to most.
He certainly did, Tiff - he had me in fits of laughter during his trial, he has such a great sense of humour.
I think that sums it up rather well, Moscow.
Just a bit of light-hearted silliness and a bit of a laugh too. What’s wrong with that for heavens’s sake!
I too, have never voted and never would.
I have never voted on any tv show, wouldn’t waste my money.
He did do well Tiff but give me ‘clean’ and water creatures over cockroaches any day.
I agree Tiff, he did do well to get all 10 stars.
I’d like to see you try it!
He was brilliant!
I couldn’t do that, I am frightened of water & never learnt to swim.
I’m quite warming to Harry, I think he’s such a down to earth bloke…
I can’t wait to see what impression Noel Edmonds makes to the camp…I have always liked Noel, he’s always seemed like a good sport, lets see if my opinion of him changes after a few days.
With John Barrowman there, I can see why they call it a ‘Camp’…He did good last night though, I was impressed…
Nice to see all the girls getting their legs out, no wonder it pulls in so many viewers… Not that I was looking though… Bad Foxy!
Bad Longdogs too.
It seems to me that, after Monday’s “busy” night, something has changed in the format and “tone” of the show.
For a start, it got terribly talky-talky, where each celeb “revealed” themselves, as if from a script. Then Anne was give a dead-easy BTT, which, inevitably, she couldn’t handle - usually, in those “tank” scenarios, the “tank” fills up, not just covering the celeb’s feet, and the answers aren’t written on the wall. Nevertheless, Anne was portrayed as “brave” and everyone gave her comfort - and now, apparently, she’s been given a bed and a pillow by other celebs.
I say “apparently” because, after I fast-forward the talky-talky bits, there’s not much of an episode left, although last night John did complete a “proper” BTT … but he had loads of time, the water was crystal-clear and Holly ended up repeated telling him where the last one was. Also, during John’s BTT, I got a strange impression of continuity errors, like a “glitch in the Matrix”, which ties in with with what viewers saw in Anne’s BTT, where Holly’s top changed in mid-scene:
I’m no fan of Rebekah Vardy, who was a campmate in last year’s series, where she was the third celebrity contestant to be eliminated from the show, but
With a new series now underway, Rebekah has discussed her experiences in an interview with Heat magazine, suggesting that the reality show is a little more contrived than it appears. Even down to us walking to the trials, we had to do that walk three or four times,” she said on the “edited” nature of the show. “Any time that you see people sat around the fire, usually someone’s been called to the Bush Telegraph room and comes out with a bit of paper and says, ‘We all need to discuss this topic’.”
Indeed, “conversations” in the camp this year DO seem contrived and unnatural, while a “scene” springs to life (in a blaze of light), as if the producer has cried “Action”. It’s all bit weird and I can’t help feeling that Anne’s presence has a lot to do with it. Is everybody treading on eggs?
Maybe it’s my imagination …
I don’t analyze the program I just watch it for entertainment. Of course most of it is contrived, it has to be to a certain extent else it wouldn’t be good entertainment, like most, if not all reality shows.
Has the “extent” been extended to accommodate a particular celeb … :?:
Two years ago:
I’m A Celeb viewers slam ‘dull’ show and say bosses fixed it so Scarlett Moffatt wins
5 DEC 2016
Eagle eye viewers say the Goggle Box star has been given increased airtime, easy jungle trials and claim ITV’s social media accounts have focused on the 25-year-old - all so she is sure to grab the I’m A Celeb crown.
I wouldn’t know about that, I don’t read gossip about any celebs & a lot of it you can’t believe anyway.
Well, Scarlett DID win and has since appeared in a number of programmes, including the I’m a Celebrity companion show Extra Camp as a co-presenter, and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
It’s all scripted these days and edited to oblivion but it is still entertaining. I would say 99% of programmes on TV are scripted. It used to be good when I’m a celeb was shown ‘live’ where the camera was just left rolling, the same with Big Brother.
Also what a good bit of publicity for Biffy Clyro who are now saying that Nick did not perform on stage with them after all.
Sadly, the production of this series is so clunky that the joins are showing and the illusion is lost …
When Noel Edmonds appeared last night I was ready to turn off the TV but the series took a turn for the better with some celebrity suffering and several sour faces …
