I Like to Remember the Good Times

It ain’t half hot mum.
Will never been shown again on commercial TV because of Political Correctness.
Windsor Davies aka Battery Sergeant Major Williams in the British sitcom It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, plus Don Estelle, AKA Gunner “Lofty” Sugden in the same show, Singing Whispering Grass. This version made Number 1 on the UK Singles Chart for 3 weeks.

I did like all those non politically correct shows.
Let’s face it, 50 years ago the world was a different place.
I know I was not awake to the misogyny, sexism, homophobia et al.
The show simply made me laugh as a teenager.

Same here, we never thought of any racist etc connotations. We just enjoyed the programs as comedy.

Yes, clever writing Bretrick, the show dealt with snobbery, inverted snobbery and generally just the way people were in a very funny way.

I loved that one too, I was a tv addict in the late 70s/early 80s. I watched them all!
