I will find out today. Give the police a ring late this afternoon.
Awwwww, nuts to that! Sure hope an honest person found it and you will get it back.
Fingers crossed for you Bretrick!
I filed a lost property report with the police. Let the pawn shop know.
Now I wait.
Thank you Mr Boot.

My thinking is that it is gone. Rather new camcorder. Who ever picked it up will keep it.
Not necessarily… keep hoping
(I wrote Mandurah when it was in fact Rockingham)
No phone call from the police 3 days after the camera was taken.
I sent a Letter to the Editor just now.
I inadvertently left my new video camera at the Naval Memorial Park in Rockingham on Tuesday 15th July.
To the person who found it and did not hand it to the police, I hope you get as much enjoyment as I had for the short time it was mine.
A person is judged by the actions they take when they think no one is watching.
Integrity is about making ethical choices. Your actions show that you lack integrity.
Personally I think you might have been better off appealing to their better side to return it in your letter to the paper. At least you would not be worse off. Perhaps that is just me.
Are you going to get another camcorder?
I will get another one eventually.
They are a little expensive at $1200
Mine is the same as yours - I got mine from Amazon for $890, you could try there.

As an addition to this I have found that on the VXF1 it is possible to favourite a video and still so it is not deleted when you “Delete All”
Playback > Video Set Up > Scene Protect > select video
Similar with the still shot except you must be in Camera playback.
I have filmed my Address and Phone Number in the (vain?) hope if Ilose it the camcorder gets returned (or at least the SD Card?)
I lost a camera once, in a multi story car park in Gloucester, it must have fallen out then I got out. I never even bothered to inform the carpark or police. Most people regard it as ‘finders keepers’.
@Bretrick Sad to hear you didn’t get it back … but as others have said most folk do think ‘finders keepers’.
Was it insured?
I have mine insured for up to £5000 for just over £70 a year . That is so for lost, stolen, damaged etc etc
I never realised they were so expensive so it’s wise to insure them.
The Panasonic G9ii with with the
12 - 60mm f2.8 lens is around £2000
No, Not insured.
Check on your house contents insurance, you might have some cover for cameras there.
I don’t have specific insurance for my cameras either but the camcorder is the most expensive and it was less than $900 (£450) so it doesn’t seem worth insuring.
I live a frugal, minimalist life and do not have house and contents insurance.
Maybe some “Roo” has it.
