I know I love a bargain, but…

Would I go this far ?

From scooters to shampoo - the people saving hundreds from dumpster diving

I can’t really imagine myself ‘Dumpster diving’ somehow but apparently, people are saving hundreds by diving in, retrieving clothes, toiletries etc. one woman gets all her kids clothes this way

Well I suppose you never know

I’m going to give it a miss, knowing my luck I’d find a body! :open_mouth::nauseated_face:

I’d be thinking of all the other things I could ‘pick up’ rummaging around a dump ! :confounded:

Quite - I think your charity warehouse is a much nicer option!

I will confess though, not quite dumpster diving but I did bring this that somebody had left in our garages, couldn’t resist it.

With a lick of paint it sits perfectly between the cupboard and linen basket in my bathroom

I wouldn’t necessarily delve into a skip, but passing one I am always drawn to any electrical items that have been discarded. 90% of the time I get stuff working again…
:astonished:
It just goes to show how much we waste things these days though.
As a boy back in the fifties, anything found in a dustbin was definitely beyond repair or wearing again.

It’s a ‘Throwaway Society’ but, you’ll never guess what ?

I walk through the garage whenever I go out and this morning saw somebody had left this, I won’t use it myself but will give it to a charity shop
