I can’t really imagine myself ‘Dumpster diving’ somehow but apparently, people are saving hundreds by diving in, retrieving clothes, toiletries etc. one woman gets all her kids clothes this way
I’d be thinking of all the other things I could ‘pick up’ rummaging around a dump ! 
Quite - I think your charity warehouse is a much nicer option! 
I will confess though, not quite dumpster diving but I did bring this that somebody had left in our garages, couldn’t resist it.
With a lick of paint it sits perfectly between the cupboard and linen basket in my bathroom
