As a child, I used to watch Dr Who every Saturday when Tom Baker played him, later on as I grew up I just went off it.

Never a huge fan of this, but I did watch it up until David Tennant’s doctor. Hated the Matt Smith version and sort of gave up on it and never watched it since. I have seen the odd episode since then, but found them incomprehensible and unwatchable. The whole thing needs a compete restart and some good stories before I would consider going back to it.

I saw the first ever Doctor Who, when I was really small, and followed it for years but when Tom Baker left I’d had enough. I started watching again with David Tennant but so far I’ve not liked any of the newer ones.

I think that was the big flaw with the Daleks all you needed was a single step to defeat them. The Cybermen? just stand behind them

I watched Dr Who from the very first episode too. My favourite was David Tennant. I have all his episode on DVD & the Christmas specials.
I watched the 14th Dr, until David left & thought the way they changed him to Ncuti Gatwa was inspirational. I did watch most of the episodes after that, but couldn’t get into them. I don’t think Rose should be the Doctor though, if she is going to be. That’s the way Ncuti’s Dr finished.

Stopped watching it years ago … Jon Pertwee was a good Doctor but Tom Baker was the best.
Some of the storylines were so unbelievable when you watch them again you wonder that you watched them first time around.
Actually, I fibbed. I always liked the renegade Time Lord, The Master best.

I certainly remember the first episodes of Dr Who with William Hartnell. I watched some of the “lost” first episodes which were aired by the BBC recently via the iplayer. I’d forgotten that Peter Purves was his side kick or assistant. Daleks were a very original invention. I can’t imagine how they came up with that idea!

I vaguely remember William Hartnell.
Dalek toys were very desirable for kids that’s for sure.
There is or was something a bit special and appealing about the design and the colours.
