Can you just imagine if you had taken your car keys with.
You most probably would have loaded in your tripod and driven off on your merry way until it was time to capture a picture perfect moment!!!

I can guarantee that after driving 34 miles and then finding out. Yeah I would not have been amused. There would most definitely been prolific swearing going on. At that point I would have given up and planned for tomorrow.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not scatterbrained most of the time. Usually when going out hiking like that I leave so early I usually lay everything by the door. My OCD. I think it’s because of the OCD way I approach most things is what makes it so funny to me when I pull a boner.
