I drove past this beautiful Woolly Orange Banksia in full bloom and had to share it with everyone

This one is in my street less than 100 meters away and I have been wanting to get a Photo while it is in full bloom.

That is absolutely gorgeous and unfamiliar!

I love it that the oceans between us create these protected areas where alien plant and animal species thrive. It feels like looking at another planet sometimes.

It’s not so alien to you though is it?

Thanks for the share!

If you want the seeds of a Banksia you have to put the pods in the oven. They only drop seeds after a bushfire has gone through.

Banksias are very prevalent here in Western Australia with over 170 species, mostly in Western Australia.
