I think mammals other than us dream. Dogs certainly do so perhaps monkeys as well. Probably dream about getting up to monkey business.

I think all mammals dream. What about I couldn’t say. They probably snore as well.
Not sure about birds dreaming but some can certainly talk to humans if the humans teach them to. Birds do talk to each other in song & sounds.
Have you ever watched horses together in a field, they are communicating constantly with each other, by signals & movement & the odd nicker or neigh.
I think all animals communicate in a similar way.

Well there is actually a very deep question here even though I suppose your joking. What were thoughts like before humans had language? When I hear thoughts in my head they are expressed in words. What were thoughts like before language? Monkeys would also think this way.

Thoughts are like dreams. They can only reflect what is within the boundaries of our reality. In captivity, I have no doubt that monkeys imagine in thoughts or dreams the commands repeated to them by the human “keeper”.
