We feed ours.They used to come to the back door but the noisy miners chased them off.So they’ve learnt to come to side door now.They let us know that they are there by tapping the window with their beak

As Spring approaches, I will put out feeding boxes with fruit and the like. Also going to place some small nesting boxes.
They might present photo opportunities.

Butcherbird looks like it could be aggressive …that beak & its name .

“Butcher birds get their name from their unique hunting habit of impaling their prey on sharp objects like thorns, tree forks, or barbed wire. They do this to hold the food steady while they eat, much like a human butcher hangs meat.”
They are very friendly if you offer them something to eat and make twittery noises.
