The two of you should definitely meet up in real life when Bruce flies in - you can compare the size of your lenses and do some you tube videos together

I suspect he already has an agenda meeting his own family and friends. I also don’t think my back garden is ideal for the Kangaroos that he is bringing with him .

I arrived at the airport via public transport. Arrived at 6.21am, had my boarding ticket at 6.38am.
I have a place to live. Well, let’s say I am going to see if the place is suitable for me.
I have a long-time friend who lives in Melbourne. He owns a double storey house and has offered me the whole top floor for $1000/month.
His wife has long term dementia and has lived in a facility for several years.
If we decide we can live under the same roof without too much consternation, then I will move to Melbourne late May.
I fly back to Perth on the 4th of May, give notice to my landlord then drive to Melbourne. David will fly to Perth and share the driving as he has never done the cross-country trip.
At today’s prices, the drive across Australia will cost at least $1,600. Approximately 8 tanks of fuel.

Arrived in Melbourne without issue.
I have been here for 3 nights now. Everything is going swimmingly. [image]
My host is very easy to get along with and there have been no negative issues thus far.
Early days yes, we both agree that there is no reason that my move here should not go ahead.
Odds are that I will be moving to Melbourne permanently by late May.
I have not ventured too far to date as I do not have my vehicle here.
The surprising thing for me is that AFL Park Waverley (formerly VFL Park) is within walking distance.
I went for a walk and snapped some photos.
VFL Park was the only original football ground I never got to attend a game.
The ground was open for business in 1970 and the first-ever VFL was played on April 18th when Geelong played Fitzroy. The first player to score a goal was St Kilda player, Doug Wade in front of 25,000 spectators
Geelong won by 61 points.
The venue was still under construction at the time, with only one stand partially completed.
The ground hosted it’s final AFL game on the 29th of August 1999 between Hawthorn and Sydney by 85 points in front of a sell-out crowd of 72,130.
The ground is still used today, hosting the South Metro Junior Football League. It is the home ground of the Waverley Park Hawks Junior Football Club.
