How well do you know the back of your hand?

People describe something very familiar as, “I know it as well as the back of my hand”
Who studies the back of their hand?
If a suite of pictures of similar sized hands were on display, could you correctly pick your hand?

I check mine for wrinkles, all seems Ok at the mo.

The backs of my hands have a few distinctive marks, so I might be able to pick them out of a lineup. I wouldn’t be able to even guess with the palms of my hands.

After so many years of caring for my nails, i assess my hands daily. Yes, I’d know my hands anywhere, in any group.

I am almost sure I would not be able to pick out the back of my hands in a lineup. :upside_down_face:

I think I’d know if the backs of my hands looked like someone else’s.

Both my hands have different veins protruding. I don’t recognise them as mine but they are.

Trying not to clench my fist and tighten the skin …

Mine vary according to what I’m doing with with them at any given time…
