How silly is this?

Baby Gaga ice cream. Human breast milk ice cream? Now that’s disgusting and so is candied Eels and haggis. Sorry hon. I’m going to have to say that your taste buds are just plain wrong. Have you had them tested lately? :woman_shrugging:

:joy: I’m sorry. I’m totally pulling your leg. (sort of)

But have you tried them? Not the breast milk Ice cream, that’s just gross!

They are jellied not candied, they’re not sweet!!

You make them by simmering eels in spicy stock and then when it sets, it forms a very savoury jelly

I never get why eating Sushi, wrapped in eel skin, is fashionable but peeps recoil in horror at jellied eels

They just taste like fish :blowfish:

Ok. Point taken! I see where you are going with it. True enough. Business always comes first with McDonald’s but the restaurant didn’t have to change their name to please all the confused consumers. They did and I think they deserve to mention it publicly. They are a business also.
Look at all the businesses that jumped on the Covid bandwagon. Was that ALL done with 100% integrity of putting people first?
Who’s to say. We don’t really know.

I agree with you regarding jellied eels, haggis, the ice cream, turkey twizzlers, flies graveyard, and mushy peas are concerned but how can you not like black pudding and spotted dick. As for the faggots that’s a Black Country favourite that is, and I’m a Black Country man through and through. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Haha. I’m very squeamish about food. Even the texture of certain foods creeps me out. When I was younger I went out fir girls night and they convinced me to try calamari. Yuck! The texture was so strange.

Shrimp. I tried my first one in 1978 and didn’t like it. It’s the last one I ate. My husband collects mussels from the ocean. Ewwww!!! Then there are snails and claims.

Actually I really wish I wasn’t like this cause I’d like to try some things but my phobia stops me.

Aren’t Eels rubbery?

Spotted dick is dough made with suet and spotted with currents. It’s similar to what I make for feeding the birds.

Do they have this item in restaurants and is the name changed at all?

Black pudding. Is that the same as blood pudding?

My mom used to make shepherds pie often and Yorkshire pudding. Now Yorkshire puddings are lovely especially with roast beef and gravy.

Not sure what it is - looks a bit like brains - not something I have ever tried.

Not seen it in a restaurant - but it often turned up at school lunches.

Yes - I think so.

Shepherd’s Pie (made with lamb) and Cottage Pie (made with beef) both delicious!
Yorkshire Pudding is great - have you tried it stuffed with blacherries, cream, and ice cream - and known as Clafoutis? Yummy!!

I did a Google and it’s a chicken lung that some poor devil found in their Kentucky Fried Chicken !

It was in Australia, though, so it’s not a Brit delicacy and you can’t blame us Bratti!

Yuk and double Yuk!

Yeah, I know what you mean, if you don’t fancy it, you don’t fancy it, I’m like that over some offal, bleugh!

And I wouldn’t eat snails but I do eat mussels, cockles and winkles, so it’s not logical

Eels are quite soft, though :+1:

Yummmm … blueberries in Yorkshire pudding!
Drool! Nooooo but now I want to. I’ve seen pictures of that though.

My mom only made it with beef which was good cause I dislike lamb. It tastes like they smell :grimacing:
My husband on the other hand loves it.

Brain isn’t something I could ever eat either. At first I thought it was macaroni :woman_facepalming:Lol

I may have to bake some Yorkshire pudding and have them with strawberries. I have no blueberries. Oh yes I do. I have frozen berries. YES!!!

What are cockles and winkles?
I’m almost afraid to ask.

What???
Omg! Some people will eat anything.
But why? That’s super gross.

The eels I have eaten have more of a texture of mushy fish. That makes it sound less good than it tastes. Prepared well, it can taste pretty good.

He didn’t eat it! Kentucky fried had fried it up by mistake and served it to him :scream:

Oh Gawd, you’re not going to like this, brace yourself!

They are ocean shell fish that live on rocks around the coast

There always used to be shellfish stalls outside the pubs in London on Sundays

What?
That’s even worse!!!:scream::joy:
I’ve been sitting here in my rocking chair wondering why anyone, in their right mind, would suddenly have a thought to deep fry a chicken lung. :woman_facepalming: Now I can’t stop laughing for presuming I knew the details.

That’s very interesting. I’ve never seen anything like that but I’m not very curious about sea food.
Here are the mussels my husband and his sister picked while she was her. Going in the boat to find them was super fun. We found these on islands . Can’t find the picture but here is a photo
I scooped off the net. It’s a Yorkshire pudding filled with berries.

I’ve eaten those when I was very young. Not in London of course. They’re very good.
