No rings, no necklaces, no watches, no tattoos, no accessories?
The only accessory I sometimes indulge with is a hat to keep the harsh sun from cooking my brain.
Nothing on my member (or anywhere else)
Don’t you get arrested a lot wandering about with just a hat on?
Well…at least Bret’s got somewhere to hang his hat should the situation arise!
And I’m not telling! ![]()
I don’t have any tattoos or anything, apart from scars from my childhood. Never wear jewellery at home, but only wear a watch when out. I have a wedding ring, but only wear it on special occasions, having lost a lot of weight and it could slip from my finger.
Nothing, never have, apart from a watch - and that is a 10 euro plastic one which (judging from my last one bought) will last 5-6 years). Not a item of jewelry, not a piercing, not a tattoo. Anyone breaking into my house would struggle to find something worth stealing.
Same here, no tats, no jewellery, not even a wedding ring. You weren’t allowed to wear wedding rings or any other rings as an apprentice engineer, so I didn’t even have one.
Had a few wrist watches over the years, mainly sports or more recently GPS ones.
My regular watches cost about £20 each and are mostly analogue faces. Only the Casio stopwatch is digital. It was supposed to have a ten year battery (it’s written on the front) but by my reckoning I’ve had it at least 25 years and it’s still going strong. I think the heat from my body keeps it charged, I’ve noticed if I don’t wear it for a day or two the numbers appear faint, but every mornings walk/jog is timed on it, so it gets worn every day.
I wear a hat when walking to keep the sun out of my eyes, rarely for the heat…
So we’re all unadorned … I only have my natural decaying beauty, circa 1962.
Anyone got any gold teeth or caps then?
Two crowns on my front teeth to replace the gold inlays I had, having chipped my teeth when I was at school.
No caps or gold teeth Morty, most of my embellishments are on the inside, with eight stents placed in and around my heart, one matchbox sized pacemaker and defibrillator buried in my shoulder, and a length of stainless steel with associated fixings keeping my radius and ulna in place after a road accident when I was 18…(I wasn’t driving by the way)…

I have one of these

A Valor Adorn, had it 30+ years now, great for when its a bit nippy but not cold enough for the Central Heating.
None since George Bush said, 9/11
“The World will never be the same. Again”
It’s undignified for a passenger going Commando.

To have to drop their Pants. In Public. At an Airport. !!!
Who would have thought that you and I share the same mindset about adornments, watches and hats? After my retina detachment & re-attachment when outdoors I always wear a cap to protect my eyes from direct sunlight. Either that or sunglasses.
This reminds me of the “pat downs” before walking through the alarm arch…
Gosh, I may have to book another flight just for the excitement… ![]()
I haven’t got any adornments such as rings, medallions, necklaces, bracelets, tattoos, studs, piercings, or anything else like that; I’ve just never fancied them
When I was in my 20s & single I treated myself to a Rolex Explorer watch, and enjoyed having that, even though I could have bought a new watch for the price of a service
After I retired I found that as I was spending more time around the house not wearing my watch it often ran down, as it was an automatic movement, so I had to wind it by hand or make an effort to wear it, which was tedious
By that time the novelty had worn off so I sold it and bought a Lorus, which is Seiko’s budget brand with a battery quartz movement, and I’m very happy with it - simple white hands on a black dial, comfortable, doesn’t need winding; more accurate than the Rolex, and at £50 compared to several thousand pounds it would be no great loss if it was lost or stolen or broke.
Hmm - seems I am out of step with the rest of you! I wear 4 rings, my wedding ring, engagement ring, my late Husband’s wedding ring and a ring he bought me for an anniversary. I wear a cross and chain every day, which again was his. I also have pierced ears and wear earrings every day. Also do glasses count as “adornment”? I have no tattoos, although a dear friend was always trying to persuade me to have them!
I wear both. Just can’t stand bright lights in my old age.
No nothing. My body is a sacred temple
