I just now went through my wallet.
Medicare Card
Organ Donor Card
Library Card x 2
Superannuation Card
Bank Transaction Card
Drivers License
Forklift License
RAC Card
BUPA Ambulance Cover Card
Smart Rider Transport Card
Muffin Break Loyalty Card
Well my golly gosh !!
I have just one…)
I don’t carry a wallet/purse. Just two cards:
Free Travel Pass
Bank Debit Card
I don’t keep them together as I could end up paying for travel which should be free.
Drivers license,3 shopping clubcards,Bank card.
Any more i would need a bigger purse.
I carry a phone with a zippered compartment so I don’t have to fuss with a purse. In it I keep:
Drivers license
Military ID
2 Credit/debit cards
Medical insurance card
Two $20 bills folded into thirds.
House key
Driving licence, credit card, debit card and two store cards.
Bank Card , a clothes bonus card, a book gift card to be spent soon , Ive had it almost a year.English Heritage card .Brothers business cards x3.
Bus Pass,Next of Kin ,
Ah, yes - the buss pass. I’d forgotten that so that’s two cards.
I see you put the most important one last.
Oh gawd my wallet is stuffed with cards…
There are four licenced club membership cards for a start (two in Canberra, two local).
My driving licence, a credit and a debit card, two Opal cards (NSW travel - one pensioner, one for visitors), an ACT travel card, pension card, NSW Seniors’ card, library card, Medicare card, Australia Post Concession card, Supercheap Auto membership card, G’day Parks card
What’s that? 17 cards, that’s just my wallet, I think my phone also has a couple of discount cards in the case too.
This card is about to become obsolete.
Muffin Break are doing away with loyalty cards. No more free coffee when you buy 5 coffees.
I think it would be an annoyance if we were to lose all our cards.
Just two cards. Debit and credit. Only really need one of those I suppose. I don’t have them with me all the time. I only take them out if I think I might need one or the other.
Do you drive or do you take the bus?
We will have no cards in another generation. Phone apps followed by biometrics will make cards obsolete.
Only one and that is lifetime membership to the exotic bunny club. Here is where you go in with eyes wide open and come out blinded with what goes on inside
How inquisitive is that question? why would anyone reveal what they have in a wallet or purse. Makes them a target for pick pockets
Yeah cards are obsolete now for some. I just need one to pay for London Transport and one to pay for other stuff … like lunch. And I don’t like to carry a phone, so cards are preferable. But there’s ever more sophisticated ways of extracting $/€/£ from our accounts.
I very occasionally use the bus on my own. Most often though, I’m with Mrs mart who hands me our bus cards for scanning and then I immediately give them back to her. Not carried by me as a matter of course.
I might take my driving licence with me if/when needed for ID purposes but not carried around with me otherwise.
Similar for me. My wife carries mine so I suppose it isn’t actually one in my card so, on that basis I have only one card in my pocket.
A lot of the cards would be easily replaced (eg the club cards) but the driving licence would be a disaster and a trip to Service NSW. The credit and debit cards cancelled on the phone app but would take days to be replaced.
Mind you I have always kept my wallet close, the only person you have to watch out for is RS
I’d forgotten that in the UK carrying your driving licence with you when driving is not the requirement it is here. Strictly speaking I don’t need to carry mine because the digital version is on my phone but it is a habit.
