Yep, and talking to a nice person at a till in a supermarket, rather than being 'encouraged ’ to use self scan. Social interaction and manners don’t seem to count for very much anymore!

Don’t know but it don’t seem like the redistribution of wealth that was promised half a century ago with the advancement of mechanisation in the workplace actually kicked in, now there’s a surprise.

I remember Howard very well - wouldn’t it be great if all bank cashiers were like him?
I would use my bank more often if they were, and it might even stop high street banks from closing down if we all used them regularly again.

Me thinks it has gone past that opportunity - I read that Halifax is going to disappear completely. Not just the branches, but the names, the accounts, everything.

She is celebrating her own redundancy
All the Halifax branches will become Lloyds i believe, without closing any branches.
But there are less banks on the high street these days - my bank seems to be doing very well, while others continue to disappear.
I really do not enjoy keeping up with technology.
I am a person of simple interests and the constant upgrades etc, drive me crazy.
