How do slugs and snails keep warm in winter?
They dig down in the soil and bury themselves deeper until the spring.

But they got no digging materials. I am trying to picture a Slug with a spade shoveling his lair for the season

The amount of snails on the front of my house in the evening, they need scooping up and put in the hedge. That’ll keep them warm and fuzzy alright

They seem to find the way into my kitchen easily enough. I often get up in the night and have to get them onto a small spade and fling them over the fench into the playing field behind. I think my snail are homing snails as they come back after a couple of days
