How about anything goes thread

Thanks for that LD, it was fun listening to that and reading the words. The only words that ever used to come to mind were “In olden days a glimpse of stocking was looked on as shocking, but today…”

I never had that talent. I always need the music in front of me when I play piano. My dad however had hundreds of songs etched in his musical brain. It’s amazing .

They are lovely.

They are cute!

For the last few weeks I have had balance issues and getting up can mean I am all over the place and even walking is tricky, but it never ceases to amaze me the way our bodies/brains manage to compensate.
I am weird enough to find the whole thing quite interesting though the cause remains a mystery.
sometimes I wake up and the room will be spinning like it used to do in the days of my youth and too much alcohol. :grinning: :grinning:

Have you tried the Epley Manoeuvre?

No as my GP feels that it would not be useful. When we first talked on the phone she thought it might be benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) but when she saw me get up from the waiting room seat and move to my left rather than forward she decided this was not the case.
I am awaiting a MRI on the brain in the hope this will pinpoint the cause.

True. The Epley Manoeuvre is only useful for specific situations: particles in the semi-circular canals being present and/or on the move. Marge felt dizzy just the other day and we tried Epley which worked.
Of course, there are a number of other possible causes, and I’m glad that your GP has taken this seriously and has ordered appropriate investigations.

Off-topic - apologies - If you’re in a hurry, several weeks ago I opted for a private MRI on advice of a specialist (for completely different reasons). It cost me a couple of grand, but was done quickly. Fortunately, it showed nothing other than my brain has shrunk!

I am absolutely not in two grands worth of hurry.

And your savings account has shrunk lol proportionately lol.

I heard a line on Monty Python a few days ago in a medical sketch that said “there’s nothing wrong with you that an expensive medical procedure can’t prolong indefnitely”. Curiously apt.
