Hot tub Brits - really?

Anyone watching this fascinating insight into hot tub ownership and the trials and tribulations of hot tub heaven? I’m trying to work out why anyone wanted to make such a programme and what possessed them. How to get a hot tub over a fence? I could have lived without that. Channel 5 in case you have nothing better to do

Not a fan of Hot tubs, we have had them available in holiday cottages and they smelt of chemicals and went unused.

I prefer saunas - much better for you - no chemicals/bleach/plastic.

I’ll have to watch that show tho Annie, as lots of people seem to be getting them!!

Yes I saw a bit of one of the programs while going through the channels, I watched for a wee while. I love hot tubs and always relax in one after my daily swim of 40 (for now) lengths. I get in front of one of the side jets so the force wallops into the small of my back and gives it a good massage…Bliss. :swimming_woman:  :+1:

Blimey 40 lengths a day…thats fit. Makes me feel so inadequate…well-done you!

I can’t say I would buy a hot tub, I think it’s another gimmick, they have them five minutes, next thing you know, they are being advertised on eBay for sale.

You can buy blow up hot tubs now…imagine having a puncture :slightly_smiling_face: i

It was 50 before Covid hit, I’m slowly building up toward that goal again. :grinning:

We had two Post Ladies that lived just a stone’s throw away, new residents and they had got themselves a Hot Tub…
We had been invited to their party celebrations an they told all to bring a swimsuit and a bottle…
Husband was the first to venture and he really was amazed…it had jets and massage ones as well.
We were invited to come over any early morning and sample it…We sure did, loved it…100% now going to purchase one…
1st of all we had no overlookers, so we had the Hot Tub under the stars…we bought some floating lights as well

We used it everyday an had an outside very basic shower as well.
Ours had massage wave jets that were really good for back aches and general muscle pains…some do even deep tissue massage jets, but ours was not at that level.
We had to change the set up for the Winter, tried a garden material gazebo, but that was ok but still not cosy enough for the Winter. Soi Husband bought loads of lengths of wood and built a Wooden Gazebo with Safety Glass in the Windows…all the windows opened and closed and the Door was a proper wooden door that you would have in the home…
We had solar lights outside around the roof and the roof was covered with individual green heavy felt individual tiles from Wickes…
hot-tob
We never used Chemicals in the Hot Tub because I am too sensitive towards such things. There are alternatives…

Yes it is more expensive but so can wining and dining when you go out…Not something we normally do…
Do we miss that Hot Tub …Oh yes…

Yes but not cost effective… Roxy…no hearts broken in the making of my post…
to remove the hot tub…take down the Gazebo…hire a crane but 1st gaining permission from the farm now commercial business park…owner,Mr. Worrsham himself so that it can be lifted over from our land to his…then pay to have it transported to France…Easier to buy a new model…if and when we decide…
In the meantime we just bought a cheapo thingy…
