Coffin Dancer here currently checking in from Oz, but spend my time between here and London. Back here at the moment for a bit of Lions Rugby and then beginning of next month will be in London for the Ashes.
By birth I am half Aussie and half English and have spent my life about equally between the two. But have to say these days with all the nonsense coming out of Downing Street which is once again knocking the stuffing out of the Old Country - Sydney is a better place to be.
So sad to see the NHS being killed, welfare and benefits being strangled, pensions being wiped-out and kids ripped off for a University education.
So much to discuss and opinions on most things often from a controversial perspective to stimulate the conversation.
Hello and welcome CD, this is a great site and it’s good to see yet another Aussie here altho’ not a ‘true’ Aust. myself, originally from the North East UK I’ve lived here forty years and consider myself a local ( and treated as such) ,wish I could afford to fly back and forth too even tho’ folk tell me how it’s changed but there again Aust.'s changed a lot too, progress for the good mostly, look forward to your posts
Thanks for such a warm welcome, rest assured I am not here to bash any brits even if England do win the ashes…Australia were hopeless today in the ICC warm up match against India, perfect batting conditions India 309 in 50 overs, Oz all out for 65 in about 23 overs OMG!!!

What a nice bunch you all are…sorry it has been a little while, but have had a really friendly chest infection for the past 10 days. All topped up with antibiotics now and doubtless will be back to dancin’ on me box in no time.
Not sure I like being thought of as “necromancer” - that’s a bit too cold for me,lol. I prefer mine to have a bit of life and body heat left in them!!!
Yes I am a cricket nut too…but hey count your blessings it keeps us off the streets and out of other mischief. Just watching Oz and Sri Lanker on internet and it looks as though we are out of the ICC tournament unless we can conjure up about 160 or so runs in about 9/10 overs it will be time to pack our bags and go back to the hotel until the Ashes warm up games begin.
I agree cricket does keep my OH out of mischief, I suppose, but it’s sooooo boring. I noticed a really strange bowler today - Australia and Shrilanka are playing at The Oval. A Shrilankan called Mallingerer or something like it was bowling and he was chucking the ball at the batsman rather than bowling properly - most peculiar- is that allowed? I hope I didn’t offend you when I said your name reminded me of necromancer coffin dancer - but then if you insist on dancing on coffins …
