Hi everyone!

I’m new here. My name’s Eileen and I’m 63 years young. I live in California with my husband and 2 Boston Terriers, both rescues. I have 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter. I haven’t worked in years due to a back injury and now I spend my time painting, quilting, and gardening. My husband and I love camping in our RV and our favorite place to visit is the southwest. Those red rocks call to us! We enjoy the southwestern archeology and geology. I’m a bit of a rock hound and after every vacation my husband has several pounds of rocks to dig out of the truck! We live in a lovely little tourist town up in the mountains of southern California about 20 miles from the ocean.

I can’t wait to get to know you all.

Hello Eileen - welcome from Patsy …
I love rocks too - its the Rockies that call to me …:-p

You made it Eileen darlin’ ;-);-) good for you!!! Good morning and once again welcome.

Good day Eileen and welcome to the forum. Sounds an interesting life you are leading. Great that you found us. I too bring rocks back from holiday but only very small ones I put in my suitcase otherwise the over charge would be terrible on the plane
Enjoy the forum.

Hi Eileen and a big welcome to our friendly site,

Welcome, Eileen! I envy you being able to escape to such lovely places so easily. I will never forget a magical day I had with my late mother in Monument Valley - it was under snow all morning, and gradually revealed itself over the day.

We live about a day’s drive from all our favorite red rock places. Since I started painting again, I hope to take my easel and get in some quality painting time on our next vacation.
