Hernias - anyone else suffered with them?

That’s a good job done then. Well done.

How long is the recovery time for returning to work, Floydy?

(Bet you won’t want to go back now).

Glad it went well Floydy…

All the best for a speedy recovery.

Thanks all, much appreciated , It’s been a long drag

I have some holidays from work to add on to my absence so I reckon it will be after Christmas now that I get back to work. I’ve discussed this my boss anyway and he’s fine with it so I just need to pop and see him after working out the days and what I’m owed.

Good to hear that all went well, Floydy. Here’s to a speedy recovery.

I as thinking about you hoping it all went to plan…so pleased it did…you can put it all behind you now…onwards and upwards…Happy Christmas

Great News Floydy, I’m so chuffed it’s turned out alright for you, but don’t be too eager to start exercising again…:018:

Thank you so much

I need to ring my boss today and let him know it’s all gone well. I won’t be driving for a couple of weeks but I’ll probably invite him over to my house for a coffee. He’s been very supportive and helpful.

No Bob, training is off the agenda for a while. I plan to do some treadmill work after Christmas to get me in the mindset for outdoor running again, but there’s no rush.

I’m pleased you’re ok Floydy.
Do you know why they didn’t use keyhole surgery on the first one?

Hope it won’t be too long before you get back to full fitness.

Thank you, Carol

They had to do open surgery the first time because the hernia had grown so big. They needed more space to operate. There’s a whole wad of mesh in there on that right hand side, whereas the left one isn’t even noticeable. It’s quite amazing what they can do these days.
