Hernias - anyone else suffered with them?

Good for you for taking the bull by the horns!

I am really pleased to hear that you are home safely and have a plan in place for the other side.

Yes, do go easy and take care of yourself!

Wow, Floydy, I am glad they did not hang about. You must be very relieved that most of the problem has been sorted for you - and I am certain you will recover quicker in your own home rather than in a ward. Take it steady now - let everything heal in it’s own time.

Nice one floydy, glad your on the mend, you’ll be sore for a few days but try and go for a walk, nothing big ,just round the garden, then to the end of the street, build up gradually, it’s amazing how quickly it builds your strength up, but only when you’re ready, don’t rush things,

Good to hear that’s been done, not before time by what you write either, now it’s ‘onwards and upwards’. Take it easy, one step at a time and don’t try to do too much.

Take care Floydy .

Well done for having the op Floydy.
My Husband has had two ops. one on the groin and his latest one a year ago on his Belly button which he has a hug scar, right across the stomach.

Have a good rest.

So pleased it’s worked out for you Floydy - no more heavy lifting & more cardio eh?

It makes sense but will you lose your powerful arm muscles?

I so please for you Floydy. Wishing you all the very best.

glad to hear you finally got seen to. You take it easy now lad and don’t be trying to do too much too soon. Take care of you.

Big good recovery hugs from all of us :grouphug:

xx

Sounds as if it is just as well you went, Floydy.
Well done, glad the worst part is sorted at last.

Glad all went well Floydy and I wish you a speedy recovery. Take it easy and perhaps lisiten to some ‘light’ music rather than any ‘heavy’ stuff.

All the best.

That’s fantastic news Floydy and I bet it’s a great weight off your mind…as well as other places. Sometimes the NHS need a kick up the butt, but they usually come good in the end. I’ve never had any complaints.

I know it doesn’t need saying, but take it very easy for the next few weeks Floydy, get your colouring books out, I’ve heard it’s very rewarding, and addictive…:-D:-D:-D
All the best mate…:038::038::038:

Don’t try this at home just yet…:mini::mini::mini:

So happy to hear you are on the mend, Floydy.

Take good care of yourself.

Best wishes from me too,mate.
I hope you make a speedy recovery.
Just be patient and don’t go too gung-ho on your first gym visit.

Hi all.
Sorry for not getting back on here today, all I’ve wanted to do all day is take things easy and watch TV, though I did manage a short walk around Asda with my wife (she was driving, which is more painful than the operation after effects to be honest!)

All I want to do is sleep all the time and tomorrow I’m doing nothing.

Thanks again for all your support, it’s very kind of you

Glad you are feeling better Floydy, it’s always wise to take your recovery period seriously so that you heal properly.

Thank you Mags, plenty of TV watching and computer tapping today I guess!

Yes floydy, take it easy, do things at your own pace…

Glad to hear you are on the mend Floydy, take it easy.

Floydy take it easy as previously said and I am sure will be repeated.
