Pimmy, how interesting that you have lived in Florida. I live up on the panhandle, where we have more seasonable weather and pretty white beaches. I haven’t yet traveled Thailand, but my husband has, and claims that if I visit your kohs, I will never come back .

Hello Pimmy - a warm Welcome to the forum.

I love your country and have spent quite a few happy holidays travelling through Thailand.
I love the people, the culture, the architecture, the food, the countryside, the scenery … I’m getting a bit old to go backpacking now but I have some great memories of your country to look back on.

I hope you enjoy your time on this forum.

Surfermom, I used to live in Melbourne for about 10 years. It is a city with many beaches, but the sand is not as white as in Thailand. But I like the atmosphere and the beach there has plants around, while in Thailand there are none except coconut trees. I like it there very much, I like the Mexican food, I like the people. If I have a chance, I will definitely go back. Yes, if you come to Thailand, don’t forget to visit Koh Samet. The sand is as white as milk grains. The cost of living here is cheap. The people are friendly.

Besoeker, wow! really happy for you living in a cold country, I need cold :joy:. Nice to meet you ‘mr.Scottman’, I heard there’s beautiful isn’t it? I would love to share some pictures of Thailand with my friends here but I’m a new member and they don’t allow me to post pictures. I think it would be great to find friends from each country to share pictures of their own places.

Hi d00d, thanks for your welcome and greetings. It’s nice to meet you. I like your name d00d, d means good in Thailand

Hello Boot,
It is great to hear that you like Thailand. Traveling to places that make us happy is already a bonus in our lives. It doesn’t matter, even if you can’t come here again, I will take pictures and send them to you so that you can see the places I have visited. May be it will make you remember the past. Opening our eyes and seeing the world around us makes us happy, right? I am also a person who likes to travel to different places. It is nice to meet you here and thank you for your welcome.

Hi Pimmy

Yes, Scotland is beautiful especially in the northern parts where I lived, I used to skiing in the winter. For most of my adult life I lived in Hertfordshire. Now I live Yorkshire, England. We retired there to be closer to the kids. Now you know everything about us!

Hello Pimmy  - Two of our sons married Thai girls. They settled here in England and raised families. They all go to Thailand regularly. I have never been myself and can’t really travel these days, so an opportunity lost. We get lots of photos of them all in Thailand though, including those of the daughters-in-law families. We often give everybody a wave and a smile over the Internet.

Hello Mart, I am glad you sent me messages. Thai people are very friendly people, so I am not surprised that your child maried to Thai persons. As long as we are alive, you will have the opportunity to travel here. We have a beautiful culture, delicious food and kind people. I think you are also a kind person. When I read your messages, I can feel it. Thank you for the friendship and we can be good friends. Nice to meet you.

Hello my friend, Besoeker
I am very happy to see your reply and the pictures you sent. Your dog is so cute. I used to have a dog, but it died many years ago. And is that your house? It looks so peaceful and nice. I am glad to have such good friendship here. I think I will not be lonely anymore. At least I have true friends from the Internet. And when the App allows me to send pictures, I will not hesitate to send you beautiful pictures from my country. In exchange, I wish you a good day. Thank you for the good friendship that you have given me. Have a good day!

Nice to meet you too Pimmy  One good thing (amongst many) about our Thai daughters-in-law is that one or the other of them sometimes makes Thai food for me. I really like it and it is always appreciated.

Oh, I know that area well! Be sure to visit the beaches of Walton, Santa Rosa, and Escambia counties if you ever come this way again. The beaches are pure white quartzite. Thank you for the tip on Koh Samet. I will put it on the list!
