Hello everyone!

Hello,
I’m from Nottingham, UK and I’ve just signed up to this site. I’m particularly interested in the health and fitness forum. I started running aged 47 and have now been running for just over 4 years. Still rather amazed that I’ve become a runner as I never aspired to be. I started running for a charity event. My running club has lots of members older than me, including some very good runners in their seventies (even 2 ladies which is quite unusual).

I’m interested in finding out more about older women runners and their experiences and I have a blog about this (www.runyoung50.co.uk)

I look forward to chatting to other members,
Katie

Hello Katie  a very warm welcome to Over50sForum…

I admire anyone who goes running in their senior years but unfortunately I’m not one of them due to back problems.

Thank you Mags. I feel very lucky to be able to run.

Hello Katie and welcome to the forum

Welcome Katie! I am a new member as well and am really enjoying the forum!

Good morning Katie darlin’ and welcome. What’s running??? - haven’t done that in so many years I don’t even know the meaning of the word anymore.

:-DHello there Katie and welcome, newly landed myself

Thank you for all the welcomes. It’s really nice.

Hello Katie,

Welcome to our forum.

I don’t know about running at my age, my legs don’t seem to be able to do that now, I can’t even get up my hill where I live.

Hi Susie,
Thank you for saying hi. Walking can be just as good for fitness as running and it’s always good to get some fresh air.

Hi Katie,

Yes I do go out for a walk every day for 1 hr. if I can manage it, I need a neighbour who can lend me their dog, then the dog can pull me up the hill.

That sounds like excellent exercise!

Hello Katie and welcome to the forum, look forward to chatting with you
