Hello everyone, and yes - it’s April 1st, April Fools’ Day

The day started off beautifully with a calm and refreshing morning walk. The weather felt just right — one of those peaceful starts that quietly sets the tone for the whole day. On my way back, I stopped by the supermarket hoping to grab some hot cross buns, but unfortunately, they were completely sold out. The only option left was from a bakery that seemed a bit too pricey, so I skipped them and picked up a couple of custard tarts instead. Honestly, I figured a sweet treat like that would still be worth it — maybe even a better choice in the end.

Back at home, my washing machine had already done its job while I was out. The delay feature really does make life easier — it’s like having one less thing to think about.

Later today, my daughter and son-in-law are coming over, which should bring some nice energy into the house. Tomorrow evening, I’ll be on dog-sitting duty while they head out to a birthday celebration. Before that, though, my daughter plans to continue working on a tattoo she’s been getting done — not exactly my taste, but I keep that opinion to myself!

As for me, I’m hoping to spend some time improving my small shortcut path and maybe tackle a bit of cleaning around the house. Other than that, it’s a fairly relaxed day ahead — nothing too demanding, just the way I like it.

Hi and welcome, Kareye6. Fresh weather for you - here in UK it is 12C (54F) so quite pleasant. And good weather for the dog (s) - we have that one for a week while the family are in Cornwall, the west country.
