Good morning all, it is April Fools Day, have you been pranked this morning?
Another lovely Autumn day on my walk this morning, called into the supermarket on the way home for some hot cross buns but they were all out, only Bakers Delight had their over priced ones so I bought some custard tarts instead. I am sure Jesus would have welcomed a custard tart after an exhausting resurrection.
While I was out walking my washing machine was busy washing clothes but had finished by the time I returned home, the “delay” feature is very handy.
My daughter and son in law are arriving this arvo and I will be on dog minding duties tomorrow night, they are going to a friend’s birthday party but just before the party my daughter is getting more work done on this hideous tattoo that she has. (I am not a fan of tattoos but I wouldn’t dare say so)
I hope to get a little more work done on my little short cut path but apart from that (and some vacuuming) I have nothing else planned.
I can hear a pin drop outside , makes me wonder if a main road as closed …
Its grey out , but looks like it will warm up .
Ive ordered some salad for the weekend , Im hoping to make a picnic lunch and go a wandering .
Enjoy your day everyone
Cloudy and mild day here on the south coast. May brighten later.
Not a fantastic amount going on today. The wife wants to do some house chores, may go for a coffee later, with a possibility of a pub lunch on the horizon. Meanwhile, I’m sat here editing photos.
Morning all – a bit dull and overcast this morning
Having lunch with a couple of the sisters-in-law today – haven’t seen one of them for several weeks so looking forward to catching up
Well, I can confirm I have definitely lost it!! I may have mentioned I have a large DVD collection, all stored according to genre or lead actor. Last week I wanted to watch a film I hadn’t seen for a few years, went looking for it but couldn’t find it. Assumed it had somehow been lost when I moved so I ordered a new copy. New copy arrived, I watched it then went to put it away – only to find my original copy sitting there exactly where it was supposed to be! I must have been looking right at it and not seen it. Now online looking for the closest Home for the Bewildered!
Afternoon forum types…
Eye test today, probably need another pair of specs to go with the half a dozen pairs I’ve got scattered around the house.
Did the Tesco early on, and passed by the petrol pumps which were closed off yesterday, they are now open but a small queue of cars building up, so I reckon they will be empty again later on.
I’ve got half a tank full (not half empty) so I’ll leave it for now. Might have to get the panniers out on the bike if I run out…
Good afternoon, just noticed a ray of sunshine in between those menacing clouds which are still going to stay with us. I think the weather has played some sort of April Fool, it hasn’t stopped pouring for days, constant torrential rain without a break! Where is it all coming from? When I drove into town this morning, I found the main road all flooded, haven’t seen it that way for a while. Still cold, but hopefully, if forecasts are not wrong, by Easter the rain will stop and we’ll have some warmer temperatures.
You’d think that Italy being out of the World Cup for the third time running could have been an April Fool’s Eve, after last night’s embarrassing defeat? NO, it’s true.
Pweeeee. Glad March is over. With Daughter and Pilot Hubby. Home again, safe and sound.
Six months ago, they booked a two-week PrimeTime holiday together. without the Kiddywinks.
Fortunately, the flight was Due South.
RSA and The Garden Route.
With the Chaos in the Middle East. unfurling.
Should we go Or Not?
Yes. Being fortunate favours the brave.
Cape Town and JoBerg Airports, Airlines in turmoil,
Holiday Extended. With 4 Days lounging in lounges.
Daddio at home. With a Red-Hot Qwerty. Tracking events.
Well, I did teach her to Drive.
But Hubby Hero. Knew how to Comfortly Survive.
Glad they got home safely, the airways are in turmoil at the moment.
Just before the conflict I booked a return flight to the UK. I checked afterwards to see whether the route was via the Middle East, fortunately I am going via Hong Kong and returning via Singapore - sheer luck I have to say
Yesterday my daughter was checking the fares, the same flight I paid $10,000 for are now $16,000. That’s by British Airways - Qantas is even dearer
Just a Blast from a personally known experience, Foxy.
Small Fry compared to those who had chosen Hoidays Eastward.
And stranded.
Flights back twice the price with a convoluted route, and Insurance “Small Print” Insurance wrangling to contend with.
Personally, think a Tinkle to Butlins would meet my Red Neck needs.
A change of plan, I was originally taking a young lady out for a slap up curry tomorrow night, now tis tonight!
All very lavish for a Thursday night
My new pristine white shirt is ironed to perfection… it’d make a Sgt major blush!
It’s turned out to be a lovely sunny day.
Enjoy the rest of your pre Easter Thursday people!
Why can’t I be shortsighted like everyone else. As it is, I’m long sighted and now I’m struggling to see long as well. So I have specs for reading and close work, I have bifocal specs for driving so I can see the road signs, and look down to read the dashboard. I have specs with a longer focal length to see when I’m cooking or working on the bench, and I have specs for looking at the laptop screen. Fortunately my old glasses fill most of the jobs, but my eyes seem to have altered and now I can see better without glasses when I’m driving, so I’ve had a pair made up with a weaker long distance lens but I still need something to read the dash and sat nav.
